Amerigo saddles are built by
craftsmen using laminated beechwood trees from France and the
finest vegetable-tanned Italian leather available. This exceptional
"Old World" quality is combined with Peter Menet’s
technical expertise to create competition saddles which are
designed to:
1) Allow the horse maximum freedom
of movementment
2) Effortlessly center the
rider’s balance
3) Encourage a classically correct
riding position

What makes Amerigo
different?
- The deepest part of the
seat is placed slightly more forward than ordinary saddles –
directly over the horse’s center of gravity, and where he can
support the rider’s weight with the least
effort.
- The cantle design
supports a straighter pelvis, allowing the legs to fall naturally
under the rider.
- The padded flaps have
knee and thigh blocks which do not force the correct position
– they simply support it
- The wool-flocked panels are
anatomically-shaped with a wide gullet for the horse’s
comfort. The panels are not stitched to the top of the sweat flaps,
enabling the panels to expand and conform perfectly to the
horse’s back.
